Who can apply?

Early-stage founders aged 18–35 with an existing idea or prototype that addresses systemic issues such as climate, democracy or social justice. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and countries.

Do I need to have a fully developed startup?

No. You need an idea or prototype you are committed to working on. The Residency is designed to help you validate, test, and strengthen your venture.

What does the €2,500 fee include?

The fee covers one month of shared accommodation at Nordhus, daily lunches, workshops, mentoring, prototyping support and community activities. Travel to and from Copenhagen is not included.

Are scholarships available?

Yes. We currently offer 2 fully funded scholarships and 2 partially funded scholarships to ensure access for founders who would otherwise be unable to participate, with priority given to underrepresented groups. As we continue our fundraising efforts, we aim to unlock additional scholarship spots and make the Residency even more accessible. We will share updates as soon as more become available.

How much time do I need to commit?

The Residency is a full-time immersion. Expect to dedicate yourself fully for the month including workshops, venture work and shared living.

How are participants selected?

Applications are reviewed based on your idea, your commitment, and how you fit the Residency’s values. Diversity is a key selection criterion.

What happens after the Residency?

You leave with a validated venture, a mission-lock roadmap, a brand and storytelling package, and new connections. Alumni will also remain part of our wider Meaningful Entrepreneurship community.

What language is the program in?

The Residency is conducted in English, and all applicants should be comfortable working in an international environment.

Can I apply if I’m not from Denmark?

Yes! The program is open to international participants. Past cohorts of our programs have included over 80%  international participants.

What if I already live in Copenhagen and don’t need accommodation?

Can teams join or is the Residency only for individual founders?

Teams are welcome to apply! Each team member should submit a separate application, but make sure to mention you’re applying together. If accepted, team members can share a two-bedroom apartment at Nordhus.
